Special Pages & Store Routes
Managing standard WooCommerce routes, funnel landing pages, and the relationship between Full SPA mode and the shop catalog.
Overview
WooCommerce relies on dedicated core pages to manage catalog archives, shopping carts, checkout forms, and user accounts. WooNooW wraps these functional routes into a fast Single Page Application (SPA) while giving merchants the freedom to design custom landing pages or sales funnels.
The Shop Page vs Sales Funnel Landing Pages
A common misconception when deploying WooNooW is that enabling Full SPA Mode forces your store to display a traditional /shop catalog grid.
Full SPA Mode Does Not Force a Catalog
- No Mandatory Shop: You can run your entire site in Full SPA Mode without ever exposing a public catalog or
/shoplink to visitors. - Direct Sales Funnels: Stores with 1 or 2 core products can designate a custom builder page as their homepage and use the native Purchase Offer section to direct buyers straight to checkout.
- Preserving Catalog Option: If you do want a standard product catalog, WooCommerce manages the product query while WooNooW renders it inside your global theme layout with instant client-side filtering.
Funnel Bypass UX vs The WooCommerce Cart Engine
Direct buy now buttons and purchase-offer sections bypass the customer-facing /cart screen, routing visitors directly to the reactive /checkout screen for maximum conversion.
SPA Modes & Route Execution
Configured under WooNooW → Appearance → General:
Full SPA Mode (Recommended)
- All customer-facing routes (landing pages, product pages, cart, checkout, account) operate inside the single-page application.
- Navigation between your sales page and the checkout screen is instantaneous, eliminating multi-second page reloads.
- Allows designating any builder page as the SPA Landing Page.
checkout_only Mode
- The storefront, landing pages, and blog run using standard WordPress PHP theme templates.
- Only the
/checkoutroute mounts the React single-page application. - Note:
checkout_onlydoes not mean "automatic buy". Customers must still add items to their cart or trigger a Buy Now intent to be routed to/checkout.
