Licensing Concepts

Understand website identity, entitlement snapshots, activation approval, and software release authorization

Overview

WooNooW licensing combines a purchased WooCommerce product, an issued license, and a persistent website identity. Software release access then evaluates the license's immutable usage, update, support, and historical-download rights.

Website Identity

Implement the required persistent installation UUID and normalized-domain pair.

License Entitlements

Understand usage, updates, support, historical access, variation inheritance, and immutable issuance snapshots.

Activation Approval

Implement the optional account-approved license-connect flow selected by the merchant.

Integration path

  1. Configure the merchant's Software Licensing settings.
  2. Model product and variation entitlements using License Entitlements.
  3. Activate and validate installations through the Licensing API.
  4. Request authorized packages through Software Distribution.
