Modules

Enable or disable WooNooW features and understand module dependencies

WooNooW uses a modular architecture. Enable only the capabilities needed by your store to keep the administration interface focused.

Open WooNooW → Settings → Modules to manage modules.

Available modules

Marketing

  • Newsletter — Manage subscribers and email campaigns.
  • Wishlist — Let customers save products for later.
  • Social Proof — Show recent sales notifications when available.

Store management

  • Subscriptions — Support recurring payments and subscription products.
  • Pre-Orders — Accept orders before products become available.

Sales

  • Licensing — Generate product licenses with activation limits, expiry rules, and website authorization based on a persistent installation UUID plus normalized domain.
  • Software Distribution — Publish versioned software updates with product entitlement checks, exact version-to-artifact binding, automatic SHA-256 metadata, changelogs, and short-lived secure downloads. Supports WordPress plugins/themes and other software installed on a website with a stable URL.

Module dependencies

ModuleRequires
Software DistributionLicensing

Software Distribution cannot authorize an update without the Licensing module. Enable Licensing first, configure the licensed product, and then enable Software Distribution.

Enable or disable a module

  1. Find the module card.
  2. Toggle it On or Off.
  3. Save when the settings screen requests it.
  4. Refresh the page if the navigation or product editor does not update immediately.

Disabling a module stops its runtime features; it does not automatically remove its stored product configuration or historical data.

Integrity scope

Software Distribution's default integrity mode calculates and verifies SHA-256 for the exact artifact selected for each release. Store owners do not need signing keys or a CI signing workflow for this baseline.

Asymmetric package signing is not exposed by the current release endpoints. It would require a separate advanced publisher-and-client workflow and is not required to use the module.
